Overview
Get ready for an exciting 3-day adventure as we travel from Marrakech to the Sahara Desert. We’ll cross the stunning High Atlas Mountains and stop at the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou.
Along the way, we’ll explore the beautiful Dades Valley and the towering Todra Gorges. Once we reach Merzouga, we’ll ride camels across the breathtaking Erg Chebbi dunes, spend the night in a desert camp, and enjoy a magical sunset in the Sahara.
Our trip will wrap up with a scenic journey through the Draa Valley before returning to Marrakech.
Tour Plan: 3 Days Trip Marrakech to Merzouga
Day 1: Marrakech to Dades Valley
We’ll start our journey early in the morning, leaving Marrakech behind and driving through the Tizi N-Tichka Pass, the highest pass in the High Atlas Mountains.
The scenic drive will take us through winding roads and picturesque Berber villages. After stopping at the impressive Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou for a visit and lunch, we’ll continue towards the lush Dades Valley.
We’ll pass the beautiful Skoura Palmery and the Valley of Roses before settling in for the night at a comfortable hotel or riad.
Day 2: Dades Valley to Merzouga (via Todra Gorges)
After breakfast, we’ll drive through the Dades Valley and head towards the impressive Todra Gorges, where we’ll have time to walk through the towering canyon walls.
From there, the journey continues to the desert town of Merzouga, passing through Erfoud, famous for its fossils.
Once we reach the Erg Chebbi dunes, we’ll hop on camels and ride through the golden sand dunes to watch the sunset. We’ll spend the night in a traditional desert camp, enjoying a delicious dinner under the stars.
Day 3: Merzouga to Marrakech (via Draa Valley)
We’ll wake up early to witness the stunning sunrise over the desert before heading back to Merzouga by camels.
After breakfast and a refreshing shower, we’ll set off through the Draa Valley, following ancient caravan routes and passing beautiful Berber villages. By late afternoon, we’ll arrive back in Marrakech, where our tour will come to an end.
