Overview
This 3-day tour from Marrakech to Fes will take you through some of Morocco’s most stunning sights. We’ll drive through the Atlas Mountains to visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou, explore the beautiful Dades Gorges, and experience the magic of the Erg Chebbi.
You’ll enjoy a camel ride in Merzouga and sleep in an equipped desert camp. On the way back to Fes, we’ll stop in the charming town of Ifrane and the cedar forests where you might spot some barbary monkeys.
This tour gives you a wonderful mix of adventure, culture, and nature.
Tour Plan: 3 Days Tour Marrakech to Fes
Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Gorges
We’ll pick you up from your hotel in Marrakech at 8:00 am and start our journey across the Atlas Mountains.
Our first stop will be the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its stunning architecture and mud break houses.
After exploring, we’ll continue to Ouarzazate for lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll drive through the Valley of Roses and arrive at the Dades Gorges, where we’ll stay in a cozy hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Merzouga
After breakfast, we’ll continue our adventure with a drive to the Todra Gorges, where you can enjoy a walk and take pictures between the high canyon walls.
Afterward, our next stop will be the Merzouga Desert, but before that, we’ll stop in Erfoud, a town known for fossils.
Once we reach Merzouga, we’ll leave the car behind and switch to camels to ride into the dunes of Erg Chebbi to watch the sunset. The night will be spent in a desert camp with a traditional dinner and music campfire.
Day 3: Merzouga – Ifrane – Fes
We recommend you wake up early to see the sunrise over the dunes and enjoy a delicious breakfast at the camp.
Our desert trip continues back to Fes where you’ll visit Ziz Valley and the impressive Middle Atlas Mountains.
We’ll stop at the cedar forests, where you can see Barbary macaques, and visit Ifrane, known as the “Little Switzerland” of Morocco. By evening, we’ll arrive in Fes and drop you off at your hotel, this marks the end of our tour.
